Stress is a normal part of the teenage day-to-day; whether because of peer pressure, applying to competitive internships and colleges, or dealing with family life.
You probably know that meditation helps you relax and take a break,
but you might be surprised to learn that meditation also helps you take control of your moods and decisions.

When you meditate, your brain activity changes; you feel less anxious and can tackle problems with greater confidence.  Meditation is also where you come to reconnect with your authentic self. 

Caught in a whirlwind of expectations in this age of technology, teens can get caught up in drama and falseness of social media and forget who they are.  With support of the group mentoring & meditation, TeenZen becomes a place were teens can talk openly without judgment about what is really going on in their lives.  

The magic that occurs in the class continues to blow my mind week after week!

When I joined this class, I did not know what to expect. TeenZen has taught me not only to meditate, but to be my true self. before meditation, I found myself not being the person I could fully be. Sally and the others have really taught me to get in touch with myself spiritually, mentally, and maybe even physically. Being beautiful and authentic on the inside is my intentions after every class. For just an hour and a half, I'm the truest I've ever been. It's quite a relief to be able to talk to people about anything and everything, and being able to turn it into something positive.

I love how we all are not necessarily in the same friend group but we are all still there to listen and help or be open to whatever! I love this group because it has really helped me become one with myself. Meditating has brought me a step closer to who I want to be and helps me find my true self. (Sat nam lol) I love this group of people so much and I'm thankful for becoming closer to everyone!!

I love it because it gives you a place to go and people to talk to when you're not feeling yourself. Also mediating helps you feel close and more in touch with yourself and makes you think about what is really important in life!

At the beginning of the year I was a nervous wreck since I was new to the area. I was terrified that I wouldn't make friends or fit in anywhere. When I joined the meditation group, right away I felt like I finally had a great group of people that really embraced me and I was comfortable talking to then about anything.  It's easily the best part if my week💗💗💗

This group has made me feel more confident in myself. I have more a desire to express my own opinions and who I am. I have always been a people pleaser and this class has taught me how to stir away from that. it is great to have such a great group of girls to support me through any decision I need help with. i feel so safe in the environment sally has created.  When I first joined the class I didn't know what mediation was or how it would effect me. it has helped me relax, reduce my stress, and become truer to myself. joining meditation class was the best decision I have made this year.

I love teen zen because I feel myself get more connected to who I truly am, I love that it helps me relax and it decreases my anxiety a lot. I feel so comfortable to say whatever is on my mind and not to be judged for the way I am I love you all 💜
